1. What Is Personal Data at Kidzofy?
At Kidzofy, we believe strongly in fundamental privacy rights — and that those fundamental rights should not differ depending on where you live in the world. That's why we treat any data that relates to an identified or identifiable individual or that is linked or linkable to them as "personal data," no matter where the individual lives.
This means that data that directly identifies someone — such as a child's name — is personal data, and also data that does not directly identify someone, but that can reasonably be used to identify them — such as device information combined with usage patterns — may be personal data. Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual is considered non-personal data for the purposes of this Privacy Policy.
Operator Information: Kidzofy is operated by Sonakshi Agarwal, an independent developer. Our contact address is: 16340 NE 83rd Street, Redmond, WA 98052, United States.
2. Your Privacy Rights
At Kidzofy, we respect your ability to know, access, correct, transfer, restrict the processing of, and delete your child's personal data. We have provided these rights to our global user base, and if you choose to exercise these privacy rights, you have the right not to be treated in a discriminatory way nor to receive a lesser degree of service from Kidzofy.
Parental Rights
Important: Because all data is stored locally on your iPad or iPhone device, you have direct and immediate control over your child's information. As a parent or legal guardian, you have the following rights regarding your child's information:
- Right to Know/Access: You can view all information collected about your child through the parent dashboard in the App. Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have direct access to this information through the App's built-in features. We cannot provide copies of data because we do not have access to data stored on your device.
- Right to Delete: You can delete your child's profile and all associated data at any time directly by deleting the App from your device or using the "Delete Profile" option in the App settings. You do not need to contact us to delete data, as you have direct control over data stored on your device.
- Right to Correct: You can update or correct your child's profile information at any time directly through the App settings, since all data is stored locally on your device.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw your consent for data collection at any time by deleting the App or your child's profile. This will immediately stop all data collection because the data will be removed from your device.
- Right to Request Information: All information collected about your child is accessible to you through the App's parent dashboard feature. We do not have access to your child's data because it is stored locally on your device, so we cannot provide copies. However, the App's parent dashboard provides you with full visibility into all collected information.
- Right to Object to Processing: You can object to the processing of your child's data at any time by deleting your child's profile or deleting the App, which stops all processing immediately. Since processing occurs locally on your device, you have direct control over it.
- Right to Data Portability: All data is already on your device and accessible through the App's parent dashboard. We cannot export or provide data in a portable format because we do not have access to data stored on your device. However, you can view all information through the App's built-in features.
Exercising Your Rights
Key Point: Because all data is stored locally on your device, you exercise most privacy rights directly through the App or by deleting the App. You do not typically need to contact us to exercise your rights, as you have direct control over your data.
If you need assistance or have questions about exercising your rights, you can contact us at kidzofy.ios@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy Rights Question." However, please note that we can only provide guidance and instructions on how to exercise your rights through the App, because we do not have access to your device or the data stored on it.
We will respond to your inquiry within 30 days of receipt. If we require additional time, we will inform you of the reason and extension period.
Note: There are no situations where we need to "grant" your request for deletion or access, because you have direct control over your data through the App. If you need guidance on how to use the App's features to exercise your rights, we can provide instructions, but the actual exercise of rights is done by you directly on your device.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response to your privacy request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the applicable data protection authority in your jurisdiction:
- United States: Federal Trade Commission (FTC) - www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov
- European Union: Your local data protection authority (a list is available at edpb.europa.eu)
- United Kingdom: Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) - ico.org.uk
- California: California Attorney General - oag.ca.gov

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA, GDPR-K, and Other Legal Requirements)
Critical Notice: Kidzofy is designed exclusively for children ages 4 and older. We are fully committed to strict compliance with all applicable children's privacy laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States, the General Data Protection Regulation as it applies to children (GDPR-K) in the European Union, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) in California, and other similar laws worldwide.
Our Commitment: We have designed this Privacy Policy to be comprehensive, transparent, and legally airtight. We do not engage in any hidden data practices, and we do not rely on loopholes or ambiguous language. Our commitment to children's privacy is absolute.
6.1 COPPA Compliance (United States)
Kidzofy is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which applies to operators of websites or online services directed to children under 13 years of age. Our compliance includes:
- Parental Consent: By downloading and using this App, you (the parent or legal guardian) are providing consent for the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. The App requires active parent participation during onboarding, which serves as parental consent.
- Limited Data Collection: We only collect the minimum information necessary to provide the App's educational services. We do not collect more information than is reasonably necessary for the App to function.
- No Behavioral Advertising: We do not use children's information for behavioral advertising, interest-based advertising, or any advertising purposes whatsoever.

- Data Security: We maintain reasonable security procedures and practices to protect children's information.
- Data Retention and Deletion: We do not retain information longer than necessary. All data is stored locally on the device and can be deleted at any time by the parent.
6.2 GDPR-K Compliance (European Union)
For users in the European Union, Kidzofy complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the special protections for children's personal data. Our compliance includes:
- Legal Basis for Processing: We process children's personal data based on parental consent, which is provided when parents set up their child's profile through the onboarding process. For children under 16 (or the age specified by your Member State, which may be as low as 13), consent must be given or authorized by the holder of parental responsibility.
- Transparent Information: We provide clear and age-appropriate information about how we process children's data in this Privacy Policy.
- Data Minimization: We only collect and process personal data that is necessary for the App's educational purposes.

- No Automated Decision-Making: We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects concerning the child or similarly significantly affect them.
- Data Protection by Design and by Default: The App is designed with privacy in mind, storing all data locally and minimizing data collection to what is necessary.

We strive to comply with children's privacy laws in all jurisdictions where the App is available, including but not limited to:

If we become aware that we have collected information from a child outside this age range, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
6.5 Parental Responsibility
Parents and legal guardians are responsible for:
- Reviewing this Privacy Policy before allowing their child to use the App
- Providing accurate information during the onboarding process
- Monitoring their child's use of the App
- Exercising their rights to access, review, and delete their child's information
- Contacting us with any questions or concerns about their child's privacy
7. Parental Rights and Controls
Important Note: Because all data is stored locally on your iPad or iPhone device, you have direct and immediate control over your child's information. You do not need to contact us to exercise most of these rights - you can do so directly through the App or your device settings. We have built features into the App to help you exercise these rights, but we do not have access to your data and cannot access, modify, or delete it on your behalf.
7.1 Right to Access and Review
You have the right to access and review all information collected about your child. Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can exercise this right directly:
- Through the App: The parent dashboard feature in the App displays all your child's progress, achievements, and learning data. This is your primary way to access and review the information we collect.
- Note: We do not have access to your child's data because it is stored locally on your device. Therefore, we cannot provide you with a copy of data we do not possess. However, all data is accessible to you through the App's parent dashboard feature, which we have specifically designed to give you full visibility into your child's information.
7.2 Right to Delete
You have the right to delete your child's profile and all associated data at any time. Because data is stored locally on your device, you exercise this right directly:
- Delete Profile in App: Use the "Delete Profile" or similar option in the App's settings or parent dashboard. This will permanently delete all data associated with your child's profile from your device.
- Delete the App: Removing the App from your iPad or iPhone device will permanently delete all local data associated with the App, including all child profiles, progress data, achievements, and all other information.
- Contact Us for Assistance: If you need guidance on how to delete data from your device, you can contact us at kidzofy.ios@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Assistance." However, please note that we cannot delete data for you because we do not have access to your device or the data stored on it.
Important: Once data is deleted from your device (by deleting the App or profile), it cannot be recovered. We do not maintain any backup copies, and we cannot recover deleted data because we never had access to it in the first place.
7.3 Right to Correct or Update
You can update or correct your child's profile information at any time directly through the App's settings. Since data is stored locally on your device, you make changes directly in the App. If you need assistance using the App's settings, please contact us at kidzofy.ios@gmail.com for guidance.
7.4 Right to Withdraw Consent
You can withdraw your consent for data collection at any time by deleting the App or your child's profile. Withdrawing consent will immediately stop all data collection because the App will either be removed or the profile will be deleted. However, please note that the App may not function properly without collecting basic information necessary for its operation (such as the child's name and age).
7.5 Right to Object to Processing
You have the right to object to the processing of your child's personal data at any time. Since all processing occurs locally on your device, you can exercise this right by:
- Deleting your child's profile (which stops all processing for that profile)
- Deleting the App (which stops all processing entirely)
- Not using the App (which prevents any data collection or processing)
Please note that objecting to processing may limit or prevent the App from functioning, as the App requires some data processing to operate.
7.6 Right to Data Portability
You have the right to receive your child's data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. However, since all data is stored locally on your device and we do not have access to it, we cannot export or provide the data to you in a portable format.
Alternative: All data is already on your device and accessible through the App's parent dashboard. You can view all information through the App. If you need assistance accessing specific data through the App, please contact us at kidzofy.ios@gmail.com for guidance.
7.7 Right to Restrict Processing
You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your child's personal data in certain circumstances. Since all processing occurs locally on your device, you can restrict processing by:
- Deleting your child's profile
- Deleting the App
- Not using the App
Please note that restricting processing may limit or prevent the App from functioning.
7.8 No Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you or your child for exercising your privacy rights. You will continue to receive the same level of service regardless of whether you exercise your rights under this Privacy Policy. Since the App is free and does not require any subscription or payment, there is no risk of financial discrimination.
7.9 Exercising Your Rights - Summary
Key Point: Because all data is stored locally on your device, you exercise most of these rights directly through the App or by deleting the App. You do not typically need to contact us to exercise your rights, as you have direct control over your data.
If you need assistance or have questions about exercising your rights, you can contact us at:
Email: kidzofy.ios@gmail.com
Subject Line: Privacy Rights Question
Note: We can provide guidance and instructions on how to exercise your rights through the App, but we cannot access, modify, or delete data on your device because we do not have access to your device or the data stored on it.
We will respond to your inquiry within 30 days. If we require additional time or information, we will inform you accordingly.
8. Third-Party Services
8.1 Apple Services and Frameworks
The Kidzofy App uses certain Apple-provided services and frameworks that are part of the iOS operating system. These services are governed by Apple's privacy policies:
- Core Data Framework: Apple's Core Data framework is used for local data storage on your device. Core Data is an iOS system service, and its use is governed by Apple's privacy practices. No data processed through Core Data is transmitted to Apple or any third party.
- UserDefaults: Apple's UserDefaults system is used to store basic preferences locally on your device. No data stored in UserDefaults is transmitted to Apple or any third party.
- Apple Vision Framework: The App uses Apple's Vision Framework for on-device handwriting recognition and letter recognition. Important: All processing using Apple Vision Framework occurs entirely on your device. No handwriting data, images, or recognition results are transmitted to Apple, external servers, or any third parties. The Vision Framework processes data locally and does not send information to remote servers.
- iOS System Services: The App uses standard iOS system services (such as file system access, memory management, etc.) that are part of the iOS operating system. These services are governed by Apple's privacy policies and do not involve data transmission to Apple or third parties.
For more information about Apple's privacy practices, please visit: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww/
8.2 App Store
When you download the App from the Apple App Store, Apple's privacy policy and terms of service apply to the download process. We do not receive any personal information from Apple during the download process, and Apple does not share your information with us.
For information about how Apple handles data in connection with the App Store, please visit: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww/
8.3 Services We Do NOT Use
To be absolutely clear, Kidzofy does NOT use the following types of third-party services:
- Third-Party Analytics: We do not use third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or any similar services
- Advertising Networks: We do not use any advertising networks, ad services, or ad tracking technologies

9. Data Sharing and Disclosure
9.1 Absolute Prohibition on Third-Party Sharing
Kidzofy does NOT share, sell, rent, lease, trade, transfer, disclose, or otherwise make available your child's personal information to third parties, under any circumstances, except as explicitly required by applicable law (and even then, we do not have access to your data because it is stored locally on your device).
This absolute prohibition includes, but is not limited to:
- We do not share data with partners, service providers, or affiliates
- We do not sell data to data brokers, advertisers, or any other parties

9.2 Local Processing Only
All data processing occurs locally on your device. Since no data leaves your device, there is no opportunity for third-party access, sharing, or disclosure through our systems.
9.3 Legal Requirements
We may be required to disclose information in the following limited circumstances:
- Legal Process: If we receive a valid court order, subpoena, or other legal process requiring disclosure, we may be legally obligated to comply. However, since all data is stored locally on your device, we would not have access to such data to disclose.
- Law Enforcement: If required by applicable law, we may need to cooperate with law enforcement. Again, since data is stored locally on your device, we would not have access to such data.
- Protection of Rights: We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others, but this is extremely unlikely given our local-only data storage model.
Important: Because all data is stored locally on your device and not on our servers, we do not have access to your child's data. Therefore, we would not be able to disclose such data even if legally required to do so. Any legal requests for data would need to be directed to you (the device owner) or served through proper legal process to Apple, not to us.
9.4 Business Transfers
In the unlikely event that Kidzofy is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your child's data would not be transferred because we do not store such data on our systems. All data remains on your device under your control.
10. Data Retention and Deletion
10.1 Data Retention Period
All data is stored locally on your iPad or iPhone device only. We do not retain any data on external servers, cloud services, or our systems. Data is retained on your device for as long as:

- Delete the App: Removing the App from your iPad or iPhone device will permanently delete all local data associated with the App, including child profiles, progress data, achievements, and all other information

10.4 Deletion Requests
If you wish to request deletion of your child's data, please contact us at kidzofy.ios@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." We will provide you with instructions on how to delete the data from your device, since all data is stored locally and under your control.
10.5 Data Recovery
Important: Once data is deleted from your device (by deleting the App, profile, or resetting the device), it cannot be recovered. We do not maintain any backup copies, archives, or copies of your data on our systems, servers, or anywhere else. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
10.6 No Data Retention After Deletion
After you delete the App or your child's profile, we do not retain any copies of the data. Since we do not store data on external systems, there are no backup systems from which data could be recovered.
11. International Users and Data Transfers
11.1 Global Availability
Kidzofy is available globally through the Apple App Store. This Privacy Policy applies to all users regardless of their location.
11.2 No International Data Transfers
